Columbus Modern Quilt Guild

I'm new to Columbus, having moved here from Houston over Labor Day Weekend ('10).  I must say, I'm LOVIN' it here -- it's so beautiful, and people have been so friendly and welcoming ... and there are so many great quilt shops it feels like I've died and gone to Quilter's Heaven! 

I'm newly engaged to a wonderful man (he's the reason I'm here), have 2 kids, 2 kids-in-law, and 3 wonderful grandkids -- a boy and two grandprincesses.  :-)    And I'll soon have 2 stepkids, and um ... 8 more grands! 

I've been sewing since I was about 8; started making my own clothes the summer I was 12.  I made my first quilt when I was 17, then didn't make any more until about 1999.  That's when I got HOOKED.  It's a passion I just can't seem to shake, not that I really try to.  Quilting has helped me meet so many wonderful people and make so many great friends that I'd never have otherwise known.
